Abortion Doulas & Emotional Support
Medication abortion is safe. It is no different on the body than a miscarriage. Do you want to talk or text with someone who is trained to give you emotional support during an abortion at home? Here are some very good resources that are friendly and helpful. They are also private and supportive:
Contact Reprocare Healthline or call 1-833-226-7821. The Healthline offers anonymous and private peer-based support, medical info, and referrals to people having an abortion. Noon to midnight 7 days a week.
Download the Ayacontigo, an app platform that virtually accompanies women through a safe medical abortion and family planning journey, providing them with a trusted, evidence-based private digital resource to prevent unsafe abortions. Available in Spanish and English.
ALL-OPTIONS: Toll-Free Talkline 1-888-493-0092. You can call for emotional support if you are not sure if you want to have an abortion or continue the pregnancy. Monday-Friday 10am-1am, Saturday-Sunday 10am-6pm EST.
EXHALE PRO-VOICE: Text Exhale Pro-Voice at 617-749-2948. Support people who have had abortions and are struggling with their emotions.
